Director of Teen Programs


Position Title: Director of Teen Programs
Full-Time
Salary Range: $32,000-35,000 based on experience
Requirements:
  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Experience managing youth programs a plus
  • Great communication skills with all levels of staff and school personnel

The Teen Programs Service Unit Director is responsible for creating and maintaining the systems through which Big Buddy Teen Service Unit programs serve the Big Buddy mission.
Duties fall in the following areas:

1- Supervise Teen Service Unit managers and coordinators and serve as team leader of service unit. This includes a variety of duties, but is not limited to:
  • Complete administrative duties related to staffing
  • Hire, train and assess staff
  • Facilitate systems for communication, planning and accountability among staff

2- Ensure that the teen programs are high quality and in keeping with best practices for positive youth development. This includes a variety of duties, but is not limited to:
  • Develop and lead on-going professional development for staff
  • Develop and monitor program design to meet program goals
  • Coordinate evaluations of program
  • Spearhead program planning processes, create and monitor plans to achieve success

3- Ensure the sustainable success of Big Buddy Teen programs. This includes a variety of duties, but is not limited to:
  • Work closely with Executive Director and board to fundraise for program activities and sustainability
  • Develop and manage program budgets
  • Manage grants and contracts
  • Conduct fiscal and programmatic reporting
  • Identify long-term needs and spearhead planning processes

4- Engage and facilitate community resources to support Big Buddy Teen Programs. This includes a variety of duties, but is not limited to:

  • Identify community resources and engage partner entities
  • Facilitate planning processes with partner
